SPECIAL OCCASIONS AND FLIGHT CERTIFICATES

Balloon flights are unique and thoughtful for proposals, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. Balloon rides are also excellent for corporate team-building activities, sales incentives and employer or employee gifts. Flight certificates make excellent gifts. You can present the recipient with their balloon flight certificate on their birthday, or other special occasion, and they may then schedule their flight at a time that is convenient for them. Purchase a flight certificate for yourself and schedule your flight at your convenience. You can always add more people to your flight certificate when you schedule your flight.

YOUR FLIGHT

The ballooning experience takes about 3-4 hours and we usually fly at sunrise when the winds are generally most stable. Dress comfortably for the overnight temperature, layered clothing is highly recommended. Long pants and sturdy shoes are necessary for the flight and bring a hat, gloves, and sunglasses. Of course, don't forget your cameras.

Bring your gloves and participate in the inflation and pack up to get the complete ballooning experience. Once aloft, we will fly high enough for panoramic mountain views and low enough to enjoy the excitement of skimming a river or tree tops. We fly at different altitudes to use the varying wind layers to "steer" the balloon. These winds may take us about 5 or 10 miles in an approximate 1 hour to hour and a half flight. Since we generally do not fly back to the launch site, our experienced chase crew will be in radio contact and follow us. They will be there when we land to help pack up the balloon and take us back to the launch site.

FLYING LOCATIONS

We fly in various locations throughout Colorado including: Boulder and the South Park valley, 55 miles west of Colorado Springs on Highway 24. A map and directions to the launch site will be sent with your confirmation.

SAFETY FIRST

Life Cycle Balloon Adventures, Colorado's Oldest & Most Experienced Balloon Company, has been flying for over 36 years. Our balloons are FAA inspected and certified, and flown by experienced FAA licensed pilots. Life Cycle Balloon Adventures, Ltd. has FAA certified flight instructors. Life Cycle Balloon Repair is certified by the FAA ( No. LCBR329X) to repair and inspect all models of FireFly and Gallaxy Balloons

We fly only when weather conditions are just right. Each morning our pilots get special weather briefings for ballooning from the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Flight Services. If the pilot determines the weather is unsuitable for a safe flight, the flight will be postponed. Fortunately, the Colorado area offers an excellent climate for year round scenic balloon flights.

Ballooning activities involve the possibility of physical risks greater than those encountered in daily life, and our pilots exercise all due precautions to provide a safe flight. By taking part in balloon activities, passengers acknowledge and assume the risks inherent in such activities. We have no limitations other than children must be tall enough to see over the edge of the basket in a standing position, about 3 feet high, and that an individual's health will allow for the more rigorous activity of ballooning.

Many people with a fear of heights have flown with us and found balloon flight to be quite enjoyable. We will do everything we can to make your flight comfortable, but if you continue to experience discomfort after take-off, we will bring you back down.

Smoking is not permitted in or around the balloon or recovery vehicles for safety reasons and for the consideration of other passengers.

GRATUITY

Gratuities are appropriate and appreciated by your pilot and crew.

RESERVATIONS

We offer hour to an hour and a half balloon flights daily, year-round with a minimum of 2 and and up to 4 adults per balloon. We have several balloons in the fleet and are able to accommodate larger groups, please contact our office to schedule your group. We suggest booking your flight early, at least two weeks in advance, in order to accommodate your desired flight date. Flight confirmation, information and a map to your launch site will be sent to you when you make your reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

All reservations must be reserved in advance with a major credit card, local check, or cash. Changes or cancellations 7 days or less of your scheduled flight date will require a $100 per person cancellation fee. There is no penalty for changes or cancellations if notice is given to Life Cycle Balloon Adventures, LTD. more than 7 days prior to the scheduled flight date. Any changes or cancellations within 48 hours of your scheduled flight or not showing up for your scheduled flight results in forfeiture of the entire cost of your flight. There is no penalty if your flight is canceled by Life Cycle Balloon Adventures, LTD. due to unfavorable weather conditions. If your flight is postponed, simply call our office to reschedule your flight.

PAYMENT

We accept most major credit cards and cash in payment for flights. Sorry, we cannot accept out of town checks. Flight certificates must be paid in full before they are issued and are non-refundable.
